I miss playing with real people.

Happy Anniversary everybody!
I disagree,my candidate for hardest mission is Abbadon's Mouth.
I did THK on my 2nd or 3rd run,but failed Abbadon's mouth 7 times straight.
It was impossible to get a monk there so almost always we went in with alesia or lina and failed miserably.Oh the joy when we passed it :P

I miss the days where you could get PUGs for all quests. When everyone you met in town wasn't lvl 20 with obsidian armor, but appropriate to the area and non-max collectors armor. When leveling to 20 was an accomplishment, not something you did in 2 hours.

Basically, I miss being a noob, cause at that time it didn't matter, cause so was everyone else.

- I miss the Xunlai Tournament House giving out RP's for correctly choosing rawr to win a million gold capes.

- I miss the friends I used to GvG with. The best time I have ever had in any video game was when I was just learning how to GvG and my guild was working its way up the ladder before splitting up because of inactivity.

- I miss the guild that gave me a chance to actually compete in AT's and mAT's. It was a pretty disappointing feeling when the guild disbanded right after I won my first trim.

- I miss getting beaten up pretty bad on Jade Isle, only to gank the guild lord at VoD after all the NPC's left the base and win the game. The rage some people had in all chat was priceless.

- I miss the importance of killing outside archers prior to VoD to try and give your team an advantage at the flag stand when all the NPC's met up and battled.

- I miss Alliance Battles.

To misquote Mr. Putin: "Those who don't miss Ursan have no heart, those who want it back have no brain."

I had hilarious fun charging through Underworld with Ursan and I miss that, but I don't want Ursan buffed back to it's former strength.

I miss when factions was released, it was the most fun I've had in the game - I'm not saying factions was the best campaign but it was when I was most excited about GW.

Maybe you should get over it if that's how you feel, you could... like stop visiting a forum about a game you think is dead.

Totally miss how much friendlier people used to be. I was ABing some years back and noticed a monk on the opposing side who had a name referencing a show I liked. I whispered that he had an awesome name and he in turn told his party to avoid attacking me. His little group and my little group just ran past one another throughout the match and capped shrines, good times.

I miss how difficult quests like Captured Son appeared when I was green around the ears, soon after Factions was first released. I can't believe now how terrible everybody was (myself included, plus level 20-ers helping out), at beating that. It was a lot of fun though!

I miss the trial and error method of mixing dyes - sure, the dye window now is exceedingly helpful, but I loved the individual bottles of mixed dye. Some of the base dyes (ritualists for example), were great too.

I miss the Xunlai Tournament house, because of the betting and the broken point distribution. It was not only a lottery to bet, it was also a lottery how the points got distributed. I almost always got more reward points than I was entitled. It was also the clearest sign that the developers were only humans who made errors.

Poor old Kun Shao, who took the blame

I miss echo-dusting. Seriously. Only time in GW I ever felt like a god.

I miss predicting results of MATs watching the outcome and getting the Zkeys. Was a highlight every month.

I miss being a newbie. That was the greatest thing about each new campaign & the expansion, everyone was a newbie again.

Back when ****-way teams were only for esoteric GvG matches.

Before "meta" became a way of life in GW.

Back when winning HA meant something and it wasn't R7+ to join

Before Shadowform became God Mode in PvE.

Playing with good players who were still noobs. Anyone who plays bad these days is mentally and emotionally deficient.
I'm talking about how most of the team would rush the dwarf for the bonus in Ice Caves of Sorrow LOL

Solo or duo trapping the UW. Nerfed because they felt that "YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SOLO ELITE AREAS" per the developer's notes. See my SF comment for how I feel about that!

Somethings I do like that have changed:
PvE skills
Heroes
Hard Mode
GW:B
The PvE/PvP split, no more nerfing PvE because of some GvG gimmick build.

Somethings we could have done without:
7 heroes (actually necessary given the state of the game, but I miss real humans)

Embark Beach (great in theory and user friendly, just kinda silly to release the same day they make PUG's irrelevant.

Buffing Dervs in PvP to the extent they did while not addressing the underlying issues with melee in PvE

How anyone can roll a mesmer and own in JQ with the two Wastrel's skills
